How this site makes money.

The short version

When you click through to a vendor and end up signing up for their software, the vendor pays this site a referral commission through their partner program. The price you pay is unchanged. We don't accept payment from any vendor for inclusion, rank, or recommendation.

What that means in practice

Every vendor on this site goes through the same picks logic regardless of whether the vendor pays a referral fee. The skip list — the page where we tell you which tools to avoid — is the proof. If a vendor pays a kickback for being recommended, we're still willing to tell a small crew not to buy it.

We participate in vendor partner programs (Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan's reseller network, and others). When we recommend a vendor, the price-check button takes you to whatever vendor URL we tracked the pricing on — which usually but not always corresponds to a partner program we're part of.

What it does not affect

• Whether a vendor appears in a comparison or skip list
• The order in which vendors are ranked
• The verdict in any individual review
• Which forum quotes appear on the skip list — those come from public Reddit threads we scrape weekly

Pricing accuracy

Prices on this site are pulled from the actual vendor pricing pages weekly. They can be wrong because the vendor changed tiers, hid pricing behind a quote-only model overnight, or ran a temporary discount. The freshness badge tells you when we last verified. Always confirm pricing with the vendor during your sales process.
